Getting Involved

Teachers

Teachers in distinguished urban and suburban public schools across the country have incorporated the UrbanPlan unit into their economics and government classes, both AP and non-AP. The Teacher’s Guide should answer many of the initial questions you have about the curriculum, field-testing, suitability for your students, resources, and other support.  UrbanPlan is implemented in each community through ULI’s district councils. ULI is unable to support UrbanPlan in communities that do not have a district council. For more information, contact Paula Blasier, UrbanPlan Director. (pblasier@uli.org)

Land Use Professionals—Success Depends on You

Introducing any new program into high schools, especially a topic this sensitive and complex, requires skill, time, patience, perseverance and resources. ULI needs your personal and financial support to bring this powerful program to communities through out the country. If you are interested in bringing UrbanPlan to your community, first contact Paula Blasier, UrbanPlan Director. (pblasier@uli.org).

We can all agree that our public schools need support and that our citizenry is ill informed about land use issues. Here is a chance to do something about both.

If you would like to financially support this exciting program, contact Julie Middleton, Vice President for Development, ULI. (jmiddleton@uli.org).
